COVID Update May 20, 2021

CAPTAIN'S BOOK IS OPEN.


Browsers are welcome.


The Captain and crew are vaccinated. The book shoppe team wears a mask when guests enter the showroom. Vaccinated guests are welcome to browse without a mask.

The Captain conducts socially responsible operations. He is currently conducting online, telephone sales, shipping, book deliveries, curb-side pickup, and in-store-sales. The Captain accepts book donations during normal store hours. Due to space limitations, the store is currently not conducting walk-in book buys. If you have books you desire to sell to Captain’s Book, please call first: (319) 351-3166.


Background. The Captain's Book Shoppe Showroom closed in March 2020 for fifty-seven days to assist in public efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in Iowa City, Iowa. The store conducted social distancing with all guests and staff wearing masks from May 15, 2020 thru May 20, 2021. Masks are currently optional. No judgement is made if you opt to wear a mask or do not wear a mask. Captain’s Book Shoppe goal is that you have a pleasant and safe browsing experience.

RETURN POLICY

If there is an issue with an order, please call Jeffrey at 319 351-3166 to discuss. The other method of contact is by sending an email to jeffrey@captainsbookshoppe.onmircrosoft.com.

1. All in store book sales are "as is" upon completion of the sale. No refunds for books that are bought in store. (We may rebuy your book, once you are done using it!)

2. Internet Sales.

 

Captain's Book Shoppe LLC standard 40 day CaptainsBook.com return policy is:

Domestic (USA) clients have a maximum of 40 days from the time the item was shipped to contact Captain's Book Shoppe if there is a discrepancy with the order.

Standard Internet Sales & Return Policy:
The Captain accepts "no questions asked" internet returns, when initiated within 30 days of the estimated delivery date. The customer is responsible for return postage.

The refund will be issued upon safe receipt of the item.

 

Captain's Book Shoppe covers return shipping costs if in the rare instance, there was an error in the listing or if the item was lost or damaged during shipment.
