COVID-19 Bookstore Operations (May 16, 2020)

The Captain's Book Shoppe Showroom was closed for fifty-seven days in order to assist in public efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in Iowa City, Iowa. The store resumes normal store hours on Monday, 18 May 2020.

All customers that enter the showroom must wear a mask. Customers without a mask, can buy a disposable mask from the store for one dollar, plus tax.

The store provides free hand sanitizer and disposable gloves for clients wishing to handle books.

Only one client is allowed in the showroom at a single time. This ensures six foot distancing.

Book acquisitions are suspended until at least July.

Members of the Captain's Book Shoppe Team that are over 65 years of age are prudently staying home and not coming to work in the store.

RETURN POLICY

1. All in store book sales are "as is" upon completion of the sale. No refunds for books that are bought in store. (We may rebuy your book, once you are done using it!)

2. Internet Sales.

 

Captain's Book Shoppe LLC standard 40 day CaptainsBook.com return policy is:

Domestic (USA) clients have a maximum of 40 days from the time the item was shipped to contact Captain's Book Shoppe if there is a discrepancy with the order.

​

Standard Internet Sales & Return Policy:
The Captain accepts "no questions asked" internet returns, when initiated within 30 days of the estimated delivery date. The customer is responsible for return postage.

​

The refund will be issued upon safe receipt of the item.

 

Captain's Book Shoppe covers return shipping costs if in the rare instance, there was an error in the listing or if the item was lost or damaged during shipment.
